Bob PetHair Plus
How do I turn this thing on?
My Bob won’t turn on no matter what I do.
Try flipping Bob’s power switch OFF and back ON again. If that doesn’t wake him, then Bob most likely ran out of battery and needs to recharge. Place him on his charging station with the metal plates on his underside sitting on top of the nodes on his station. Alternatively, you can unplug the adapter from the charging station and plug it directly into the inlet above his power switch.
How long does it take for Bob to charge?
It takes about 4-5 hours for Bob to fully charge.
How much does Bob pick up? How often do I have to empty him?
Bob has a dustbin capacity of 1100 mL. He can clean about six cycles before the dustbin is full.
How long does Bob clean?
How long does the battery last?
The battery lasts for about five years. Bob PetHair Plus has a 2-year warranty on the battery.
Does Bob come with a warranty?
Bob isn’t cleaning in a straight line.
Bob’s cleaning pattern may look quite different from the way a human would clean: he may spiral out gradually, follow along walls, or zigzag across a small area. It’s best to let Bob work in his own way, even if his movements appear odd. Moving him around, manipulating his movements, or picking him up may confuse him and disrupt his cycle. Rest assured, Bob will efficiently clean your home within the course of a full cycle—just check his dustbin for the evidence!
Can I pick Bob up?
You can pick up Bob and place him wherever you’d like him to clean. However, it is best to leave him alone while he’s cleaning, so you do not disrupt his cleaning algorithm.
Bob’s having trouble finding his charging station.
You may need to resync his charging station and/or relocate the station to a more accessible area. Make sure the station is placed against the wall on a hard, flat surface with plenty of space around it.
Help! Bob keeps getting stuck.
Bob's not picking up as much as he used to.
Bob will have trouble cleaning if his main brush is clogged or tangled with hair. Remove Bob’s main brush and clean it thoroughly from end to end to ensure that he’s working at his best. We recommend cleaning Bob’s brushes and filters about once a week.
I’m having problems removing Bob's brushes.
Remove any debris clogging the areas that attach the brush to Bob. You may use scissors to cut away hair wrapped around the brush. You may need to gently pull the main brush up or down to reach the corners, but do not force the brush out as this can damage it. It’s best to clean Bob’s main brush and side brush about once a week to prevent buildup.
Why is Bob beeping?
Help! Bob just stopped cleaning and his screen turned off.
It’s possible Bob is in standby mode. If this is the case, press any button on his cover or remote to wake him. If this doesn’t work, try flipping Bob’s power switch OFF and ON again. If that doesn’t solve the problem, Bob might need a mainboard reset. To do so, flip his power switch OFF and plug the charging adapter directly into the inlet above his power switch. Let him charge for at least 2 hours to fully refresh his system.
Bob is telling me there’s “something funny going on” with one of his parts.
I think my Bob's broken. What do I do next?
How do I know Bob is charging? How do I know he’s finished charging?
When Bob is charging, he flashes the battery bars on his screen and displays the word “charging.” When he’s finished charging, the battery bars remain solid and the word “charging” disappears.
