We have excellent warranty services; yet we did our best in designing Bobsweep so you would not face the need to use them! Bobsweep is sturdy, efficient and hardworking. Needless to say however, that like any other member of your family, Bob requires some attention to stay healthy and happy. Please do read our maintenance tips to see how you can keep Bob happy. Sometimes, despite your attention and care, Bob may like any one of us have a bad day or get sick. But don’t worry! You have our excellent support behind you. Please make sure to scroll down and read this page in its entirety so that you learn about the different options and services we provide and any conditions that may apply. It is much easier to take advantage of our many after-sales support services when you know all about them!
All of bObsweep products are thoroughly tested before they are sent to you. However, in rare cases a product might get damaged during shipment or for other reasons. If you receive a faulty product by post, be sure that you are in good hands. Depending on the situation and the nature of the defect, we will either:
- Exchange the faulty product- at no charge- with a new product (or a refurbished product that is comparable in efficiency and performance to its new equivalent);
- Exchange the faulty part at no charge with a new part (or refurbished part that is comparable in efficiency and performance to its new equivalent); or
- Fix the faulty part at no charge if the defect was a minor one
Bobsweep's One-Year Limited Warranty
All Bobsweep products that are purchased from an authorized dealer include a minimum one (1) year warranty on all parts. This warranty covers manufacturing defects and damages that might occur during normal use of Bob. However, consumable parts like brushes, filters and batteries are not covered. Extended warranty may be available to purchase which may also cover these items. In either case, we want you to know that we are here for you, so please contact our costumer service if you need assistance.
What is covered
The warranty covers defects in materials under normal use. No warranty coverage will be given if faults are found to be the result of intentional damage to the product; accidental physical damage (such as dropping the product, stepping on it, water damage, etc); misuse or abuse of the product; unauthorized repair of the product, opening of its motor container or tampering with its internal parts; application and uses for which the product is not designed (i.e. exposing it to water); damage which occurs during shipment due either to the neglect of the shipping company or the improper repackaging by the customer; exterior or cosmetic damage; failure to adequately maintain the product as instructed in the user manual (such as breakage of parts due to failure in regular cleaning the product); damage caused by an external device or substance (i.e. sharp objects, sticky or gum-like material, or excessive hair on brushes); general wear and tear. In each of these cases we will nevertheless replace/repair your product during the warranty period; however you will be charged a replacement/repair fee which may be subsidized at our discretion based on the reason/nature of the damage. Repair charges during the warranty period will never exceed 60% of the retail price and are usually much lower when the damage is not severe. In all cases, you will be contacted and provided with a quote and asking for your consent before we proceed with the replacement/repair. You will always have the option to have the product sent back to you in the condition it was received by us.
How to claim your warranty
To receive warranty services you must register Bobsweep within two weeks of purchase. This will activate your warranty. In addition, in order to receive the benefits under the warranty, you must keep the original receipt of your purchase and present it to us upon request. In all cases of after-sales service, during or after the warranty periods, our support team is to determine whether a faulty product is to be repaired or replaced. But during the warranty period, if a damage arises for reasons NOT covered by the warranty (i.e dropping the product), you will have the option to ask for a product replacement at a subsidized rate that will not exceed 60% of the retail price. Please keep in mind that bObsweep has no physical after-sales service operation. This means that all after-sales services, including exchanges and repairs, are handled through post. All service inquiries must be initiated through the submission of a service request form on our website. Once you have submitted your service request and provided us with necessary warranty information, you will receive a Service Authorization Receipt along with instruction on how to ship the product to us for exchange or service. You will need to print the Service Authorization Receipt and visibly attach it on the exterior of the postal packaging before shipping the product to us. Items returned without the Service Authorization Receipt would not be accepted. Before being returned for service or exchange, products need to be thoroughly cleaned and packed together with all accessories in their original packaging, along with a copy of the original proof of purchase. If the product is returned unclean, you will be charged a cleaning fee that is not covered in your warranty. Shipping the goods in any packaging other than their original might cause them damage, and thus voids your warranty. bObsweep accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of products during their return, even when they are shipped in original packaging. Returning the products for exchange or service is at the sole risk of the customer and disputes must be handled directly with shipping services used for returning the product. When returning an item for repair or service, postage costs are always to be paid by the customer. These costs must be paid at the time of shipping, as we do not accept pay-at-destination packages. We may however, based on the discretion of our support team, refund you with all or part of the postage costs depending on the cause and the nature of the damage, or in cases that the product was faulty on arrival. As always, you are welcome to email our costumer service about any questions you may have.
What NOT to do
Never use accessories or parts (including batteries) that were not manufactured or sold directly by us. The use of third party and other parts and accessories (including bobsweep brand accessories that were not purchased from an authorized dealer) might harm the product and voids your warranty even if problems don’t arise from the use of such products.
bObsweep products have sophisticated and complex designs and could only be repaired by authorized technical support team. Never service or repair bObsweep products at third-party service centers. This will void your warranty and is likely to damage your product.
Never ship bObsweep products in packaging other than their original.
Bobsweep's Five-year Subsidized Repair
Even after bObsweep’s warranty is over, we will divide the maintenance charges with you. Regardless of the reason for the damage, during the first five years of your purchase, we will replace/repair bObsweep when needed. In these five years, depending on the nature and the reason of the damage, we will subsidize up to 25% of the replacement/repair charges for you.
Bobsweep's Lifetime Product Support
Even when the Warranty and Subsidized Repair periods are over, you are not left on your own. We are here for you for a lifetime of support and service. So even if many years later, Bob is not feeling well one day or is not working like usual, do not panic! Just call or E-mail us and we will get your Bobsweep back on his wheels.
Please Note: Since we are constantly advancing our technology and enhancing our product design, it is possible that at anytime our products are replaced by newer, upgraded models as older models become obsolete. As a result, with any replacement, we reserve the right to replace your product with a newer model which will be comparable or superior in performance to the original product, even during the one-year Warranty or the five-year Subsidized Repair.
For repairable obsolete products that need spare parts that are no longer manufactured, we will either provide you with a refurbished upgraded model at the same repairing costs or offer you the option to purchase a new upgraded model at a discounted price.
